I’m Allison Nelson, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, EMDR and trauma therapist, couples therapy specialist, and certified addictions counselor. I specialize in treating all degrees of trauma, and provide individual and couples therapy to assist my clients to live a more integrated and satisfying life. I am EMDRIA certified, trained in the modality at the Parnell Institute, and a Parnell Institute Consultant In Training. I have completed a five-year postgraduate training program at the Ackerman Institute for the Family and have extensive training in Emotionally Focused Couples therapy (EFT) as well as the Ackerman Relational Approach, a relational-systematic approach for working with couples.
