Andy Lavine

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience treating clients with psychiatric and addictive disorders. Via my clinical experience there is one thing I know for sure; no one is impervious to the impacts of trauma, addiction and grief. We all have moments in time where we need some guidance and help. I bring years of experience coupled with evidenced based therapy interventions to help people get back to the place where life is interesting again. I achieved my Masters in Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work and was director at a trauma focused Intensive Outpatient Program treating clients with complex PTSD for many years. I am level 3 trained by the Parnell Institute, and see clients in person in Oakland as well as via Telehealth. I welcome all potential clients, and invite clients with LGBTQIA+ identities to reach out for care. I fully believe in being a warm, down to earth, and active partner in the therapeutic relationship.
