Cheryl Placsko

I am a Registered Psychologist with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psycholology. I work with individuals dealing with a wide variety of issues and concerns. I believe that despite challenges and difficulty, with understanding and the right coping strategies, feeling strong and capable is something we can all achieve. Stressors and intense emotions can be overwhelming and leave us feeling out of control, helpless, frustrated and scared. I work with clients to help them understand how to relax their body and release patterns of thought and behaviour that reinforce avoidance and relief seeking and get in the way of them achieving their goals. As an Approved Parnell Institute Consultant, I enjoy supporting therapists developing their Attachment Focused EMDR skills and case conceptualization to support treatment of their clients.
