I am a clinical social worker based in NYC. Often I work with people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, past traumas, life transitions, diversity, migration and acculturation. Sometimes, we just want to understand ourselves better. I work with a diverse group of individuals from all walks of life. I have worked in different settings during my career: community outpatient clinics, emergency psychiatry, inpatient, research. I have done post-graduate training to refine my clinical skills, become a better therapist. After completing psychoanalytic training, I’ve found that my patients may need a different approach to work on the issues that bring them to therapy. AF-EMDR has been helpful in this sense. My approach is client centered, so we work together in tailoring treatment to fit your needs. Finding a therapist that feels right for you can be challenging.
